Sherr Marie Altamirano Diaz born in the Philippines and migrated in Canada in 1992. Sherrie, as she is called by many, graduated as a nurse from York University. She currently resides in Scarborough, Ontario. Sherrie thinks she inherited her passion of writing poems from her late father. She has been composing poems since the age of 14 and intermittently writes songs as well. She loves to read, bake, sing, play the piano and travel. She believes that if her poems hit the core of her readers, then she has done her job as a poet.
